New achievements of former students

I am very pleased with the many success stories that my former students are currently celebrating:

Lucija Stilinovic took second place at this year's Serge & Olga Koussevitzky Young Artist Awards in New York. The young flutist is currently completing her master's degree at the Manhattan School of Music with Prof. Langevin.

Ana Spelinova is now working for the Pilsen Orchestra.

I congratulate my former students on these great successes!

Rafael Adobas

Congratulations to my former IFSB student Rafael Adobas. He is in the finals from the International Carl Nielsen Flute Competition! Bravo and good luck for the finals tonight!

Aldo Baerten new professor at Trinity Laban & new masterclasses in November

Aldo Baerten has just been appointed as new professor of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London. A great achievement!

He is going to perform and give masterclasses at the flute festival FLUTE ON of the Dutch Flute Society, on the 17th and 18th November 2018. This shouldn't be missed!

Natalia Jarząbek

I am very proud of my former student Natalia Jarząbek who just became the new principal flute at Krakow Philharmonic. She proved her talent in several competitions and expanded her abilities in (f.e. my own) master classes. Congratulations!

Aleksandra Pechytiak

Congratulations to my former student Aleksandra Pechytiak who, together with the harpist Jelena Engelhardt, won the International Music Competition for Soloists and Chamber Music Groups "Svirrel" (Slovenia). The duo Aleksandra-Jelena scored first place in the category Champer Music with Strings (Professional). Bravo!

Aldo Baerten: Teaching assignment at University for Music and Dance in Cologne

From April 2018, Aldo Baerten will hold an assistant lectureship at the University of Music and Dance Cologne in the subject of cross flute. The HfMT is the second oldest music academy in Germany, with further locations in Aachen and Wuppertal. Aldo Baerten had already passed on his knowledge as a professor at Sydney University and as a lecturer at the conservatories in Münster and Hanover.
